Scheduling

Schedules start a stream at a set time, and can stop it too. They run from the cloud, so they fire even when the dashboard is closed. Your StreamOps app must be running at the time.

Creating a schedule

  • Pick a stream and the video to play.
  • Set the start date and time, and an optional stop time.
  • Choose whether it repeats (on which days, and until when) or runs once.

Updating YouTube when a schedule runs

If YouTube is connected, a schedule can also change the title and description of your YouTube broadcast when it runs. You can schedule a title, description or thumbnail change on its own from the Scheduler too.

Missed starts

If your StreamOps app is offline when a schedule is due, the stream can't start. You get a notification and an email so it doesn't go unnoticed.
