Streams

A stream is one live broadcast. When you create one, you first choose its source:

  • Video — plays one video or a playlist of videos on a loop.
  • Screen share — streams your desktop, with an optional camera overlay. See Screen Sharing.

Platforms

One stream can go to several platforms at once: YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick, or any custom RTMP server. For YouTube and Twitch you only paste the stream key; for Facebook, Kick and custom servers you also enter the server URL. Stream keys are stored encrypted.

Controls and logs

Start and stop each stream from the Streams page. Its status updates live, with no page refresh. Open a stream to see its FFmpeg log. If a stream crashes, StreamOps restarts it automatically and tells you in Notifications.

How many streams can I run?

It depends on your upload speed and quality settings. StreamOps checks your connection and recommends how many streams you can run at once.
